The 2nd day of the Annual Korean Language Teaching Method began with an introduction to the schedule, guidelines for completion, and a warm welcome from the head of the King Sejong Institute of LA, 안형미. Then, Esther Kim from the Sejong Institute LA branch introduced the seminar to the King Sejong Institute Online Education Content and Implementation in Korean classes.
After a short break, Yong Won Kim led the seminar in an exciting activity about Paper folding Curriculum and how to use Paper Folding in Korean classes. She used interactive activities such as videos and livestreams to present the training.
After a lunch break, the seminar split into 3 breakout rooms, each led by a different speaker and with another activity. Unis Choi from Glendale KDLP shared activities linked to elementary, middle, and high school Korean classes, Karyn Lee from West High shared strategies on how to Organize Korean Culture Day, and Hea Ja Lee showed how to use Korean Children Songs in Korean lessons.
Finally, the seminar concluded with the writing and presentation of class syllabus using cultural contents for each group and a Q/A.
