National Korean Studies Seminar

The schedule includes instruction on Korean history (ancient, medieval, modern), art, economic development, film,food, literature, music (traditional and contemporary), martial arts, philosophy, political development, religion, technology and current developments in Asia, such as concerns about recent developments in North Korea and the possible implications for South Korea, China and Japan.
The program will retain the most successful components of past five-day seminars. In 2016, the seminar will be in greater depth and scope in terms of coverage of Korean history, art, literature and music. The seminar will also respond to the Common Core and the need for ready-made lessons for teachers of Regular, Honors and Advanced Placement World and United States History classes.
